For those of you who are missing us as much as we miss you.

We just thought we would show you some updates of the campsite.

Its looking lovely

Visitors to Camping La Fortinerie will know my struggle with the planting area at the Boma. Dry sandy soil, very sunny, no shade, so I went with ornamental grasses. Its taken a couple of years…I will not be defeated…but I think I’m getting there.

We trialled a wild flower meadow last year (2020) and were so pleased with it and all the wildlife/butterflies it brought in to the site, so, it was a no brainer this year and it is looking beautiful, particularly the hare bells.

The herb garden is well established now and has the addition of Oregano, Bronze fennel, Dill and Pepper (didn’t even realise you could grow pepper over here…Ill keep you posted as to how it turns out)

Even the flower bed at the communal BBQ area is looking good, with Julian’s bottle fence going strong (thank you to all the contributors)
